However the best way to contact Stamps is to call in, have a pint and talk to the staff( they only bite occasionally!). Ask them anything about the bar, booking gigs, finding what`s on etc. You will be very welcome. If Charlie is in he may even buy you a pint!!

Showcase bands

We encourage all styles of bands but especially something a little bit different (folk, funk,jazz etc). 

Unfortunately due to our reputation we must now ask you to adhere to the following conditions:-

1) Please submit a demo via e:mail ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  ) If you prefer let us have a myspace link.  Please do not take offence if you are not asked to play as we do have requests from bands who are not yet at the standard our customers have come to expect.  However we will reply and offer some comment which you may care to take on board.

2) If you are given a gig we will provide:

  a) 1K P.A. rig

  b) house drum kit (excluding snare, cymbals and sticks)

  c) bass amp, 2 guitar amps, mics, leads and stands

3) We allow 15 minutes (max) to set up and sound check (any more than this and you will drive customers away).

4) Payment £15 expenses (more if you bring thousands of fans!!!)

5) All equipment must be returned to storage after the gig or payment will not be made .

6) Once you are given a gig date, please e:mail us to confirm you have read and agree with the above conditions.
